How to catch a leprechaun?
It’s tougher than you think!
He’ll turn your whole house upside down.
He’s quicker than a wink!

My Review:

St. Patrick’s Day is a bit more magical in Kindergarten. Children believe in leprechauns and all the problems that they can cause. I love reading my Kinders books about Leprechauns because they truly enjoy them. This is a quick fun read aloud that talks about all the traps that the Leprechaun escapes from. The text is in a rhyming patterns and creates a fun story. The illustrations are fun and cheerful.

St. Patricks Day

Hooray for St. Patrick’s Day! (Lift-the-Flap By Joan Holub

Back of Book: It’s Saint Patrick’s Day, and time to join in the celebration. Children can lift the flaps for interactive fun as they see the children in this book make holiday crafts, taste traditional Irish food, perform a play about Saint Patrick, and even march in a Saint Patrick’s Day parade.

My Review: This is a fun quick read that goes in to great detail about the traditions and fun of St. Patrick’s Day. There is a leprechaun hidden on each page which keeps little minds engaged on the story. The flaps in the story are also fun because the children can try to guess what is under each picture. This is a very fun story to celebrate the holiday.
